Aussie Twilight Mums Newsletter – March 2010
Hi Aussie Twilight Mums,
Here we are in yet another month, there are so many exciting things coming up in the next few months for us Twilight Mums. Parties, DVD and movie releases and conventions. We are going to be busy, busy, busy people here at ATMs 
As always I would like to welcome our newest members to the forum! At last count we had 317 members, I am so glad that all you wonderful women have found us here.
Please come in and introduce yourself if you haven’t done so already. If you are unsure how to go about using the forum check for your welcome message in the menu bar just under the forum header. It will give you some hints and tips on how to get started.
I will be going through our member list on a monthly basis and deleting all members that have not been active within the last 60 days. This will help us to get a real number of our active members and also help with privacy issues. So please be sure to post every now and then to keep your membership active
Talking about privacy issues, I have had a few people aks about the privacy of our forum in the last couple of weeks, so I wanted you all to know that all threads in the forum are set to private, which means that only members can view all topics, threads and posts.
Our 1st Birthday is getting closer. And I am very excited about our upcoming birthday celebration lunch at Criniti’s Restaurant at Darling Habour. I have sent out PM’s to the Mums that have expressed interest on the forums. But if you have missed out and would like to join us either PM me or email me at aussietwilightmums@gmail.com and I’ll get an invitation to you.
Obviously not everyone is going to make the lunch , so I’ll be planning some fun things on the forum and website to help us all celebrate. Keep your eye’s out for more details throughout March!
Hub Productions have announced another Twilight Convention on Saturday the 24th April in Sydney and Sunday the 25th April in Melbourne.
Ashley Greene, Daniel Cudmore, Gil Birmingham (and now) Christian Serratos and others will be appearing on Saturday 24th April in Sydney from 9:00am to 6:00pm and Sunday the 25th April in Melbourne from 9.00am to 6.00pm.

Hub have also just announced that they will be holding a Vampire Diaries Convention for their Australian Fans. So far only Paul Wesley who plays Stephan Salvatore has been announced.

Another one of Hubs conventions planned for this year is the True Blood convention. These conventions will be held in Sydney on the 25th September and Melbourne on the 26th September.
So far the guests that have been announced include: Sam Trammell, John Billingsley, Kristen Bauer and the author Charlaine Harris!

I’m really enjoying our ATM Book Club, it’s great reading new books and discussing them with all you Mums. It’s also been wonderful to have so many participants joining in each month.

Teaming up with gorgeous vampire Eric Sinclair, who is in her opinion a major pervert, she takes on Nostro and his minions.

I have been umming and ahhing about adding a button to take donations to help cover the costs of running ATMs for a long time! I’ve finally been convinced to give it a go.

Gen, Lisa, Tania and I will be hosting a monthly podcast and we would like your involvement.
Each month we will be inviting a ‘Guest’ to join us. These Guests will either be our Mum of the Month, an Author or a twilight related Guest.
To be eligible to become a Guest Mum you need to have access to Skype and a microphone. Go to the Podcast Thread and register your interest and at the end of the month I will pick one lucky Mum using an online random number generator.
You can also send me audio messages and I will play them on the podcast. Simply record your message or ask us a question and email the audio file to me at aussietwilightmums@gmail.com and I’ll play it on the next podcast.

It’s Birthday month at Aussie Twilight Mums, so keep your eyes out in the forum and on the website for competition announcements throughout the month!
Friday nights are our ATM Chat Nights. All Chats are held in the Chatbox at the bottom of the forum homepage. They officially begin at 9pm Sydney time but there is usually an eager Mum or two in there a little earlier.
You may have noticed in the Calender that I have planned some themed chat nights for this month and next month. If they are popular I’ll look at making the themed nights permanent.
The new chat night themes are:
Newbie Chat – This chat night is for any new members who have just joined ATMs or for any existing members who have not participated in a chat night before.
General Chat – This chat night is as it sounds, a chat night to discuss anything and everything
Book Club Chat – This chat is scheduled for the end of the month so that we can discuss the current Book of the Month.
Fan Fiction Chat – This is for all the girls that read Fan Fiction to come in and discuss their favourite FF’s!
