New Moon Lead Single Announced

Posted by Twilight Mum | Aussie Twilight Mums, Merchandise, New Moon, Stephenie Meyer, Twilight | Tuesday 8 September 2009 7:26 pm

Its official!  The first single off the New Moon soundtrack has been announced by none other then Stephenie Meyer herself!

Stephenie wrote on her web site the following notice

I just received the following announcement from Atlantic Records (the record label that produced the Twilight Soundtrack):

The first single has officially been confirmed for the New Moon Soundtrack! Death Cab for Cutie has written an exclusive song for the movie entitled ‘Meet Me On the Equinox.’ Below is a statement from the band about the song:

“We are very excited to be a part of this amazing series of novels set in our own backyard. It just seemed a perfect synergy that a band from the Northwest would create a song for a series of novels set in the Northwest. We wrote ‘Meet Me On the Equinox’ to reflect the celestial themes and motifs that run throughout the Twilight series and we wanted to capture that desperate feeling of endings and beginnings that so strongly affect the main characters. This song marks the first attempt that Death Cab for Cutie has ever made at contributing new, unreleased material for a film and we are proud to be a part of the Twilight legacy.” — Nick Harmer / Death Cab for Cutie

Additionally, we have the exclusive premiere of the soundtrack album cover below! The soundtrack will be in stores on October 20th, 2009, stay tuned for more information!

A Man That Gets Our Twilight Obsession!

“Over the past few months, my wife has made a great collection of friends all because of their common interest in Twilight. These women are sexy, beautiful (trust me, I’ve seen their photos), intelligent, accomplished individuals. They are single moms, teachers, photographers, artists, cupcake bakers, real estate agents, writers, and much more. All of them are fun, the type of people you would want to hang out with. And all of them want to hang out with each other. They support each other.

Having friends who flatter you, support you, and want nothing more than to hang out with you has an incredible effect on a person’s self-image. My wife feels betters about herself. She is happier than she has been in ages. She is creating things. She is sexier. And I swear she is getting younger. She is staying up later, acting sillier, and taking life a lot less seriously. In short, she is becoming a lot more interesting.”

This is just a snippet of an article written by the husband of a fellow Twilight Obsessed woman. Go and read the full article, he may just surprise you :)
